National Die Company has perfected the ability to develop and produce deep drawn metal stampings. Our precision metal stampings and custom metal stampings utilize our Waterbury Farrels, US Bairds, and Platarg high production, multiple station transfer presses. These versatile machines offer a wide range of independent forming stations. From a coil of flat strip metal (provides the lowest level of scrap metal loss possible) each precision and custom metal stamping is developed in individual stages as it transfers from station to station. Forming operations which we can perform in the development of deep drawn metal stampings include coining and marking, beading, bulging, embossing, flange rolling, flange piercing, fluting, knobbing, knurling, lettering, multiple side piercing, reverse drawing, side stabbing, step drawing, threading and many other required metal stamping part features in our transfer presses. These precision metal stampings are formed as completely as possible within the machine to eliminate and minimize the need for costly secondary operations.
National Die Company utilizes their local supplier partnerships to support us with the following precision metal stamping part finishing options: cleaning, deburring, passivation, barrel tumbling, machining, plating, black oxide, annealing and heat treating.
At National Die Company, quality is very important to us which is why we are proud to be certified ISO 9001:2008. We are dedicated to following our policies, procedures, and customer specifications to create the highest quality deep drawn metal stampings available. To ensure your deep metal stampings conform, we apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and Pareto Analysis. Our precision inspection equipment assists us in the measurement of all dimensional requirements and is calibrated and traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, which enables us to work to tight tolerances. We also perform Production Part Approval Process (PPAP’s) to the automotive industry.
